Empowering Youth, Honoring Legacy
Carrying forward Isaiah’s vision of leadership, service, and opportunities for Chicago youth
Carrying forward Isaiah’s vision of leadership, service, and opportunities for Chicago youth
The Isaiah Project NFP is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in Illinois founded by Genesis Wilson, Heavenlee Wilson, and Jarmaine Wilson in honor of their brother, Gabriel Isaiah Montes—one of Chicago’s youngest community activists, whose life was tragically cut short in a 2017 car accident. With the guidance and support of their mother, the siblings created the Isaiah Project to carry forward Gabriel’s legacy of youth leadership, service, and empowerment.
The mission of the Isaiah Project is to provide resources, economic opportunities, and educational pathways for at-risk youth, while also meeting urgent community needs through charitable programming. Over the years, the Isaiah Project has distributed food, bookbags, and school supplies while building initiatives that empower young people to lead, learn, and thrive.
At its heart, the Isaiah Project is youth-led and youth-centered. By creating innovative opportunities in STEM, media, workforce exposure, and community service, the Isaiah Project ensures that the next generation has not only the tools to succeed but also the platform to amplify their voices and build a stronger future for their communities.
